EXPERT POST
Brightness shifts overall lightness; contrast expands or compresses tonal separation around the midtones. Strong increases in both can clip highlights and shadows.
Saturation changes color distance. Natural grayscale should use luminance weighting rather than merely removing all color equally.
Temperature adjusts the blue-yellow balance. Channel-aware correction reduces distortion in whites and skin tones compared with a simple overlay.
Sharpness does not restore missing detail; it increases edge contrast. Strong values can amplify noise and create bright halos.
Histogram and channel averages can suggest values, but cannot understand photographic intent. Well-exposed images should receive only small changes.
The live preview uses a reduced image for responsiveness; export renders at source resolution. Small resampling differences may remain.
ICC, CMYK, and HDR sources may change when a browser converts them to standard RGB. Screen and print output cannot be guaranteed to match.
JPG and lossy WebP trade quality for size; PNG preserves transparency but may be much larger for photographs.
