PRINT RESOLUTION GUIDE
Print width (in)=pixel width÷PPI and print height (in)=pixel height÷PPI. With the same pixels, higher PPI means a smaller physical print.
Required pixels=target inches×PPI. A4 210×297mm at 300 PPI is approximately 2480×3508px.
For existing pixels printed at a chosen physical size, effective PPI=pixels÷inches. It shows the density available without adding pixels.
PPI describes image pixel density; DPI describes printer dot capability. They may be mixed conversationally but are different concepts.
3000×2000px is 3:2. A different paper ratio can require cropping, margins, or distortion, so check the ratio warning.
