Use kilograms as the canonical basis for mg, g, t, oz, and lb. For a quick check, 1 kg is about 2.20462 lb; the physical mass does not change with the unit.
Celsius and Fahrenheit are not related by scale alone: °F=°C×1.8+32. Kelvin uses K=°C+273.15.
Use pascals as the canonical basis for kPa, MPa, bar, atm, psi, and mmHg. This changes the unit used to express the same pressure.
1 bar=100 kPa, 1 MPa=1000 kPa, and 0°C=32°F=273.15 K. These are useful sanity checks.
Kelvin cannot be below 0 K, equivalent to -273.15°C, so lower temperature inputs are rejected.
This tool converts units only; it does not convert gauge pressure into absolute pressure. Check the pressure type before engineering or equipment calculations.
